Unveiled on Thursday, the two new sets of headphones look to offer quality design and build off the comfort and audio quality that Beyerdynamic says it has become known for in the past. Complete with a new STELLAR.45 driver, both Pro X headphone sets offer a nice upgrade for users who want to monitor their audio more efficiently. Beyerdynamic says the DT 700 Pro X headphones offer a closed-back experience, designed to be used for production in the home studio or when on the go with a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. The closed-back design keeps air from passing through the ear cups. This, in turn, leads to a more isolated sound, which some users have come to prefer, especially when watching movies or playing video games. The DT 900 Pro X offers a similar audio quality while giving users the option of an open-back design, which essentially lets more audio in from the outside world. Open-backed headphones are typically used for professional monitoring, as they deliver a more natural sound by letting air pass through the ear cups.  The new headphones also feature replaceable parts, and Beyerdynamic says almost every part of the set can be replaced, if needed. Both sets are available starting on Thursday. The DT 900 Pro X and DT 700 Pro X both will retail for $299. Beyerdynamic also unveiled two new creator-focused microphones, the M 70 Pro X and M 90 Pro X, which are now available as well.
